I'm realizing that if I want the things of Earth to grow "strangely dim" then I must place all my focus on Christ. If we've died with Christ, then we all have been raised with Christ. If we're dead to the things of this world, we're alive to the things of heaven. I don't want it any other way. And, to achieve this, the bible tells me to "set [my] mind on the things above, not on earthly things" (Col 3:1-4.)
O soul are you weary and troubled?
No light in the darkness you see?
There's light for a look at the Saviour,
And life more abundant and free.
Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His Glory and Grace.
Through death into life everlasting
He passed, and we follow Him there;
Over us sin no more has dominion -
For more than conquerors we are!
Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His Glory and Grace.
His Word shall not fail you - He promised;
Believe Him, and all will be well;
Then go to a world that is dying,
His perfect salvation to tell.
Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His Glory and Grace.

The Rest
You are calling me
To stop and understand
To free myself from noise
To rest and know Your plan
You are telling me
My life is in Your hands
I rest within Your light
And in You I can stand
You are leading me
To a place without this fear
Where love and grace are free
Where You and I are near
To stop and understand
To free myself from noise
To rest and know Your plan
You are telling me
My life is in Your hands
I rest within Your light
And in You I can stand
You are leading me
To a place without this fear
Where love and grace are free
Where You and I are near
